Summary: Events 4 Sure organized the 28th Global Legal Conference in London.
Litigation is an innate aspect of the legal framework, globally and the rising litigation expenses have been posing a major problem, both for in-house legal departments as well as independent law firms. While there are certain ways to ward off the situation, the very implementation of these has been a subject that needed due attention. It was with due consideration to this aspect, that the 28th Global Legal ConfEx, 2016 was organized in London on September 8th.
A daylong event, the legal conference was directed at detailed discussions on the subjects of Risk Management, E-Discovery, Compliances as well as the best practices, all of which have the capability to offer a viable solution to the existing problem of inflating litigation costs.
The event was laid out in a manner wherein delegates from all across the world could get an unmatched opportunity to learn from the profound knowledge and commendable experiences of industry leaders through the way of speeches, panel discussions, case study presentation as well as a strategic round table discussion.
The most imperative part of the event constituted the keynote speeches that were given out by Mr. Dervish Tayyip who assumes the revered position of the Assistant General Counsel at Microsoft, UK and Mr. Sarosh Zaiwalla Senior Partner at Zaiwalla and Co., UK.
A renowned writer and speaker on various aspects pertaining to Law and IT, Mr. Tayyip took on the subject of ‘New Technologies & the role of the Legal and Compliance Community at a Time of Great Uncertainty’, which was highly relevant given the prevailing conditions in the global legal framework. He spoke on the subject in great detail quoting various instances where New Technologies have come to the rescue in some precarious situations. He also touched upon the vitality of the Legal and Compliance Community in the current face of situations.
‘Importance of Strategy in International Litigation’, was the subject chosen by Mr. Zaiwalla. Having worked on innumerable cases acting as the solicitor, counsel, party-appointed or sole arbitrator, his expertise on the subject was rather discernable. The delegates attending his keynote took this opportunity to understand the nuances of international litigation along with digging deeper into how it can prove to be beneficial to the organizations that they represent, especially when they clearly need to resist the cost burdens. Quite humble for his stature, Mr. Zaiwalla was happy to oblige.
The flow of the event was planned in a way that gave ample time and opportunity to various participants, exhibitors and speakers attending the conference to have formal as well as one-on-one interactions with each other.
