Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL): UAE Largest Legal Reform in Its 50-Year History

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has formally approved the most extensive reforms in the UAE’s history, including the UAE’s long awaited federal Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The new law forms part of the UAE’s Projects of the 50, a set of economic and developmental initiatives designed to mark the country’s 50th anniversary and launches the next phase of the UAE’s growth.
