Business Meetings: GCs, Law Firms, and Service Providers

This session will be hosting a series of group business meetings bringing together General Counsels (GCs), Law firm Partners, and Service Providers. These meetings will focus on various topics, including Data Privacy, GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), Cyber Security, Contracts Management, Investigations, and more.

 

During these meetings, you can expect the following:

• Whether cyber-security insurance coverage current available in the market covers company risks on cyber-security breaches, and what changes are required to policy wordings or the approach for underwriting such risks to better cover such situations for companies.

• How legal technology will improve contracts management in the new few years, in comparison to the technology currently available, and how in-house counsel have used such technology to efficiently manage numerous contracts.

• Impact of additional standards where companies comply with GDPR, in addition with extant Indian data protection provisions.

• How often should in-house counsel revisit GRC mechanism to ensure they address global best practices and practical situations of doing business in India. Are there examples of when this has been done (this can be discussed on an anonymous basis without mentioning parties involved)?

• Putting in place an effective whistle-blower mechanism in companies (including protection of whistle-blowers) in relation to issues that subsequently lead to internal investigations.
